Unique Approach To After-School Care
Behavior Brighter Day Care takes a very therapeutic approach to assisting individuals in crisis. All teachers are trained in Therapeutic Options, a curricula that addresses prevention of unacceptable behaviors, de-escalation of a situation, and causes and function of behavior. Our staff excels in assisting children in crisis and prides ourselves in providing a humane approach to intervening in a behavioral episode. Our philosophy is that the staff and children must have a trusting, helping relationship in order to succeed.
Steps to Individualized Success
- The BDC teacher will observe your child in their school setting.
- The teacher will review the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), and with this knowledge will design a specialized after-school care plan.
- BDC and the student’s parents will be reviewed with the parent and upon approval will be enacted.
Parents will receive the following:
- A daily note home discussing what was accomplished that day.
- Four in depth progress reports will be sent home throughout the year.
- Parent teacher conferences will be held and one-on-one meetings can be set up as needed
PARENT NIGHT OUT
Once a month parents will be treated to a night out. We will take the kids out to have fun while you take a little time for yourselves. Movies, dinner, swimming, or shopping.
Parent Testimonial
"As parents of a special needs child, we were very thankful to find Brighter Day Care. The services they provide allows our four year old son Evan to receive the added instruction and guidance that he needs. What's so great about Bright Day Care is that their evening program allows parents of special needs children such as Evan to receive additional care that supplements the care they may already receive through a daytime program. This additional care, which is provided in a classroom setting that is conducive to learning and taught by skilled instructors, allows children's individual needs to be addressed."
